Embalming *$500.00
Except in certain cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be required however if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement which does not require you to pay for it, such as direct cremation or immediate burial.

If you want to arrange a direct cremation, you may use an alternative container. Alternative containers can be made of heavy cardboard, pressed wood or composition materials (with or without an outside covering) or other materials. Direct Cremation includes the local transfer of remains, refrigeration, service vehicle, services of funeral director & staff, necessary authorizations, transportation to the crematory, and the crematory charge with CA-State fee. (All containers must meet any applicable State or Crematory requirements)

Forwarding Remains $1,200.00
This charge includes the local transfer of the remains to the funeral home, securing necessary authorizations, services of funeral director & staff. Transportation to a Jet-Port City is likely to be necessary. This charge does not include shipping charges, cash advances, or additional items of merchandise or services, facility use, or livery service that the customer may wish to select. Transportation beyond the local point of shipment will be billed either as livery or common carrier charges, depending upon the forwarding location. Local Point of Shipment is up to or within 15 miles.

I called a couple places before settling on this Funeral home.... Staff had the most knowledge to help me through the process of cremating my dad , He was a military vet so most places I called didn’t know how to help me, find fill out the Necessary paperwork. They were prompt with services and available when I needed them,the usually picked up right away. Highly recommend using their service.read more

I recommend this place to anyone rich or poor. Mr. Smith and... staff made sure everything was in place for my mother's viewing service. Steve helped me and my family through this whole process. I... don't understand why this place has one star reviews, hopefully Fresno Funeral Chapel has or will grow from the One star reviews, but steve was very kind, personable, yet professional.
